Richard John Garcia

Richard John Garcia ( born April 24, 1947 in San Francisco) is an American clergyman and Bishop of Monterey in California.

Life

Richard John Garcia received on 13 May 1973, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 25 November 1997 as Auxiliary Bishop in Sacramento and Titular Bishop of Bapara. The Bishop of Sacramento, William Keith Weigand, donated to him on 28 January of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were John Raphael Quinn, Archbishop of San Francisco, and Pierre Dumaine, Bishop of San Jose in California.

On 19 December 2006 he was appointed Bishop of Monterey in California and introduced to the office on January 30 of next year.
