Richard Ulrich ( born 1942 ) is a German game designer.
His career as an author began play in 1987 as his fishing game was moved by Verlag Herder. This was followed by many other games, with a focus on children and environmental games. In 1992, his collaboration with Wolfgang Kramer began.
As part of this collaboration arose many successful games. Among El Grande, The Merchant and The Princes of Florence.
The best known of these games is El Grande, which in 1996 won both the German Game Prize and the price game of the year.
