Rick Holbrook

Patrick Joseph "Rick" Holbrook ( May 22nd, 1948 in Chicago, † December 23, 2007 ) was an American weightlifter.

Career

Rick Holbrook grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois. He started at age 15 with the weight lifting, after he had previously operated in various other sports. After initial successes, he went to Chicago and joined the YMCA Sports Club " Duncan " at. His coach was the former there, emigrated to the USA, Hungarian world-class weightlifter Mihaly Huszka. Later he started for the York Barbell Club. In 1968 he scored with 172.5 kg a junior world record in pushing the Medium weight. During his relatively short career, he has appeared back in 1973, to devote himself fully to his studies, he became world champion and American masters.
