Geography
Park Ridge is located in the northeastern suburb of Chicago area on the east bank of the Des Plaines River, one of the two sources of the opening into the Mississippi River Illinois. The city is located at 42 ° 00'43 " north latitude and 87 ° 50'30 " west longitude and extending over 18.36 km ². Park Ridge is located predominantly in the Maine Township, but also extends into the Leyden and Norwood Park Township.
