Randy Hultgren

Mark Randall " Randy " Hultgren (* March 1, 1966 in Park Ridge, Cook County, Illinois) is an American politician. Since 2011 he represents the state of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Randy Hultgren attended until 1984, the Wheaton Academy in West Chicago and then studied at Bethel University in Saint Paul ( Minnesota). After studying law at Chicago -Kent College of Law and his admission to the bar he began to work in this profession. In the years 1988 to 1990, he worked for Congressman Dennis Hastert. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party a own political career. Between 1994 and 1998 he sat in the District of DuPage County. From 1999 to 2007 he was a deputy in the House of Representatives from Illinois; between 2007 and 2010 he was a member of the State Senate.

In the congressional elections of 2010, Hultgren was in the 14th electoral district of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of him previously defeated Democrat Bill Foster on January 3, 2011. He is a member of the Committee on Agriculture, the Committee on Science, Space and Technology and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. He is also a total of nine sub-committees.

In the congressional elections in 2012 Hultgren sat down with 59:41 percent of the vote against the Democrats by Dennis Anderson.
