Neil J. Linehan

Neil Joseph Linehan ( born September 23, 1895 in Chicago, Illinois; † August 23, 1967 ) was an American politician. Between 1949 and 1951 he represented the state of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Neil Linehan attended the public schools of his native land and from then until 1913, the John L. Marsh School. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army. He then worked in the electrical industry. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party. In the congressional elections of 1948 he was in the third electoral district of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Fred E. Busbey on January 3, 1949. Since he lost in 1950 against Busbey, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until January 3, 1951.

Also failed in 1952 Linehan at its last congress candidate Fred Busbey. After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives, he again worked in the electrical industry. In 1951 he was also director of price stability authority in Chicago. In this city he is on August 23, 1967 and passed away.
