Rionegro is a town in Antioquia Department, Colombia. It is located about 50 kilometers from the provincial capital Medellín away. The city has 73,200 inhabitants (as of June 2011).

Geography

Rionegro situated at an altitude of about 2000 meters and has an annual average temperature of about 15 ° C. At the city limits in the north Guarne and San Vicente, in the west of El Retiro, Envigado and Medellín, in the east Marinilla and El Carmen de Viboral and south La Ceja.
