The monastery Rioseco (Santa María de Rioseco; Rivus siccus ) is a former Cistercian abbey in the municipality of Valle de Manzanedo approximately 70 km north of Burgos in the province of Burgos in Castile -Leon in Spain.

History

The monastery was founded in 1148 as a subsidiary of the monastery Valbuena from the filiation of primary Abbey Mori Moon was in 1236 moved to its final location. The monastery gained strength in the late Middle Ages, but fell into a crisis later. It also suffered from the wars of liberation in 1808 and 1809. In 1820 it was taken by the commissioners of the revolutionary government in ownership and a portion of his property was sold. Buildings and plant
