The Brent is a tributary of the River Thames in southeast England, the London Borough of Brent gave the name. It has a length of 29 km and extends within Greater London. The river's name goes back to a Celtic deity. The Brent and the surrounding valley him are the result of glacial shifts during the last ice age.
