Content
The heroes of the series are the Road Rovers, the dogs of several heads of state. By a machine, the Transdogmafier, they can assume humanoid form and get super powers to fight crime.

- Hunter is the Golden Retriever of the U.S. president. He is the leader of the Road Rovers.
- Lightning is the Doberman the German Chancellor.
- Colleen is the Rough Collie bitch of the British Prime Minister.
- Vanya ( Exile ) is the Siberian Husky by the Russian President.
- Tell ( Shag ) is the guard dog of the Swiss Federal President.
- Hannibal ( Muzzle ) is a Rottweiler. He belongs to no state.
- The Master (Master) or Professor Shepherd has developed the Transdogmafier.

Each sequence having a length of 30 minutes. Road Rovers was first broadcast in the U.S. on Kids' WB. Later broadcasts followed by Junior and K- Toon.
From the English Road Rovers was translated into German, Portuguese and Spanish. In Germany Road Rovers was - The Mega dogs several times sent by ProSieben in the children's program.
