Robert Sims ( born December 6, 1983 in Macedonia, Ohio) is an American professional American football player at the position of the Guards. He plays in the National Football League ( NFL) for the Detroit Lions.

Career

College

Rob Sims studied at Ohio State University, he played for the College Football and 2005 team captain was. With his team, the Ohio State Buckeyes, played Sims in four bowls, which won them all.

NFL

Sims was selected in 2006 by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round as the 128th player in the NFL Draft. Even in his rookie year he was employed as starters on the offensive line of Head Coach Mike Holmgren to protect quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. The Seahawks moved into the play-offs this season. There they were surprisingly defeated the Dallas Cowboys at 21:20, but had to admit defeat after the Chicago Bears with 27:24. Sims came in two games as a starter for use.

In the 2007 season, Sims then has established itself as a regular player on offense. He moved with the Seahawks again in the play-offs. After a 35:14 win over the Washington Redskins, the team had from Seattle but defeated the Green Bay Packers at 42:20 give. Also in the play-offs of the 2007 season was Sims starter of his team.

Due to an injury played Sims in the 2008 season just a game. In the 2009 season, Sims returned as a regular player. However, his team did not get into the play- offs.

Rob Sims is the son of Mickey SIMD, a former defensive linemen of the Cleveland Browns.
