Robert Addie

Robert Alastair Addie ( born February 10, 1960 in London, † 20 November 2003 in Cheltenham, England ) was a British actor who was best known for his role as Sir Guy of Gisburne in the British television series Robin Hood.

Life

He attended Marlborough College, which he left at the age of 16 years to join the National Youth Theatre to join. He remained there until 1978. Afterwards he studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art ( RADA ) to which he departed in 1980 in John Boorman's film Excalibur, Mordred the embody. He died on 20 November 2003 at the age of 43 after a short battle with lung cancer.
