Robert Alfonso

Robert Alfonso Acea Leodan ( born November 11, 1986 in Havana ) is a Cuban boxer. He was 2007 Pan-American champion in the super heavyweight ( over 91 kg body weight).

Career

Robert Alfonso began as a teenager with the boxes. He belongs since 2004 to the power center of Havana and in 2004 was Cuban junior champion in the heavyweight class (up to 91 kg body weight). In 2004 he also participated in the World Youth Championship in Jeju / South Korea partly in the heavyweight division. He won there over Murat Karatayev, Kazakhstan and Newfel Ouatah from France respectively on points, but lost in the semifinals against Evgeny Romanov of Russia, because he had to be taken because of an injury from combat.
