Robert DoQui

Robert DoQui ( born April 20, 1934 in Stillwater, Payne County, Oklahoma, † February 9, 2008 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American film actor.

Life

Robert DoQui received a music scholarship to Langston University in Langston small (Oklahoma), where he was a member of a music group called Langstonaires, which meet in the surrounding area to notoriety. As a young man, DoQui commit for a period of four years, the United States Air Force before he moved briefly to New York City, and then to Hollywood in the early 1960s.

The career of the African American began in 1964 as a guest performer in the television series The Outer Limits. A year later, in 1965, he stood in Taffy and the Jungle Hunter, an adventure film directed by Terry O. Morse for the first time. In a full-length feature film in front of the camera DoQui was a sought-after actor who has appeared in over 100 movies and especially television series. He was celebrated in comedies such as I Dream of Jeannie, and Western, including Gunsmoke, as well as in sci-fi series, including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

However, he was known only for his role of Sergeant Reed in all three RoboCop movies that were produced in the years 1987, 1990 and 1993. Also known is the film Short Cuts by Robert Altman, received the Golden Globe Award for the DoQui as part of the best actresses ensembles.

Besides his work as an actor, he also sat for years on the board of Screen Actors Guild, and sat down mainly to ensure that women and minorities, especially blacks, however, more opportunities should be given in the media.

Robert DoQui died in February 2008 at the age of 73 years.

He left behind his partner, the actress Mittie Lawrence, and their five children together.
