The Robert E. Howard Museum is a museum in Cross Plains, Callahan County, Texas, United States. It stands at the intersection of Texas State Highway 36 and Avenue J. It was the home of author Robert E. Howard, Conan has created the Cimmerian. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

History

The T-shaped, white-painted house, the couple JM Coffman was built in 1919 in timber frame construction. Dr. Isaac M. Howard and his wife Hester Ervin Howard bought it a little later. Their son Robert was a teenager when the family moved into the house. The Howards were a bathroom and veranda rückwartige add. Robert E.
