Robert J. Wilke

Robert J. Wilke ( born May 18, 1914 in Ohio; † 28 March 1989 in Los Angeles ) was an American actor.

Wilke began his career as a stuntman in the 1930s. His first appearance on the screen was in the movie San Francisco. He soon earned regular roles in many films, mainly as a villain or henchman. He terrorized with Ian MacDonald, Lee van Cleef and Sheb Wooley as a gang of thugs, the small town in the film 12 clock noon. Wilke played alongside the Western in other films. One of his most well-known non- western movies was the movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ( 1954). Here he played the Chief Petty Officer of Nautilus. Another well-known film by Wilke was about the death ball. In the 1950s and 1960s, Wilke occurred predominantly on in television series. The busy supporting actor had around 300 film and television appearances until 1981.

In addition to his career as an actor Wilke was a good golfer. He died in 1989 at the age of 74 years in Los Angeles from cancer.
