Robert Odell

Robert A. Odell ( born May 4, 1896 in Los Angeles, California, † February 20, 1984 ) was an American art director and production designer, who was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1940 for an Oscar for Best Production Design.

Life

Odell began his career as an art director and production designer in 1920 in the silent film drama Occasionally Yours ' by James W. Horne with Lew Cody, Betty Blythe and J. Barney Sherry in the lead roles and worked throughout his career until 1940 at the scenic features of over forty films with.

At the Academy Awards in 1940, he was nominated along with Hans Dreier for the Academy Award for Best Production Design in the Adventure Three Foreign Legion (1939 ), which was directed by William A. Wellman and the Gary Cooper, Ray Milland and Robert Preston the lead roles played.
