Robert W. McElroy

Robert Walter McElroy ( born February 5, 1954 in San Francisco) is Auxiliary Bishop of San Francisco.

Life

Robert Walter McElroy received on 12 April 1980, the ordination. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on July 6, 2010 Auxiliary Bishop of San Francisco and Titular Bishop of Gemellae in Byzacena.

He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of San Francisco, George Hugh Niederauer, on 7 September of the same year; Co-consecrators were John Raphael Quinn, Archbishop Emeritus of San Francisco, and John Charles Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City.
