Rochester Cardinals

The Rochester Cardinals were an American ice hockey team from Rochester, New York. The team played in the 1935/36 season in the International Hockey League.

History

The franchise of the Rochester Cardinals was founded in 1935 as a member of the International Hockey League. The Cardinals were the first professional hockey team from Rochester. In the 1935/36 season the team finished fourth and thus last place of the Eastern Division. Subsequently, the farm team of the New York Americans of the National Hockey League was disbanded ready again. Since 1956, played with the Rochester Americans, a team from the city by walking in the American Hockey League.
