Rockin ' into the Night is the third studio album by Southern rock band 38 Special, released in January 1980. The title song Rockin' into the Night was the first big hit of the band. It reached number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 The album itself reached # 57 on the Billboard 200

Reception

On the Allmusic page Degagne Mike wrote, with Rockin ' into the Night had 38 Special discovered how to southern rock combined with a formula that brought the band commercial attention. The songs had more "steam" than on previous releases of the band.
