Rockne Tarkington

Rockne Tarkington Booth ( born July 15, 1931 in Junction City, Kansas ) is an American actor.

Life

Tarkington began his career in 1963 with a small episode role in the television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents. In the same year he had a feature film debut alongside Jackie Gleason and Steve McQueen in the comedy A soldier stands in the rain. Besides numerous other guest appearances in series such as Bewitched, Cobra, accept and High Chaparral, he was seen in the 1960s in several other feature films, including Clarence, the Cross-Eyed Lion and Sierra Charriba. In the children's series The Banana Splits Adventure Hour, he played the role of Elihu Morgan 1968-1969.

In 1974 he played the title role of Samson in the blaxploitation film Black Samson, and continued to receive regular guest roles in series such as Baretta. Between 1983 and 1984 he appeared in the recurring guest role of "Too Mean" Malone in the series Matt Houston. He had in 1994 in Lawrence Kasdan's Wyatt Earp Western His most recent feature film role - The life of a legend.

Tarkington was 1968-1970 married to actress Joan Blackman. In the 1990s he moved back to his hometown to take care of there by his mother. He later joined the Mormons.
