Rodvínov

Rodvínov ( German Weis Ried ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers northeast of Hradec Jindřichův and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec.

Geography

Rodvínov located on both sides of Nežárka in South Bohemia. Along the streams leading- Rodvínovský creek and Dvoreček extends to the east a chain of small ponds. North-east rises the Píhalův Kopec (514 m).

Neighboring towns are Jarošov nad Nežárkou in the northeast, Matejovec in the east, Oldřiš, Dvoreček and Blažejov the southeast, Jindřiš in the south, Jindřichův Hradec and Dolni Skrýchov the southwest, Horni Skrýchov in the west and Dolni Radouň in the northwest.

History

Rodvínov is a Slavic place and was founded in 1319 first mentioned. Until the abolition of patrimonial regimes in 1850, the village was part of the rule Neuhaus.

In the village there are two Emufarmen and also three farms for deer.

The municipality consists of the villages Rodvínov Jindřiš ( Heinrichschlag ) and Rodvínov (Ried Weis ).

  • Neo-Gothic Chapel of the Assumption in Jindřiš, built in 1894
  • Memorial stone for the peasant rebel Gregor Tröscher in Jindřiš
  • Baroque bridge over the creek Hamerský with statue of St. John of Nepomuk from 1856 in Jindřiš
