Rogério Gaúcho

Rogério Márcio Botelho ( born September 28, 1979 in Parenense ), called Gaúcho, is a Brazilian footballer.

Gaúcho played in his youth for SE Matsubara from Cambará in the state of Paraná. In 1997 he moved to Sao Paulo to Clube Atlético Juventus. After one season, he was obliged by the Spanish RCD Mallorca, where he spent two years running.

Then he returned to Brazil, playing for Santos. For the season 2001 /02 he was engaged by Levski Sofia, after only half a year, he moved again to the club and played from then in the Russian league for Krylia Sovetov Samara. After one and a half years in Russia, he went back to Brazil in mid-2003 and play six months for the Sport Club Internacional in Porto Alegre. His next stop was from 2004 to mid-2005 União Barbarense from Santa Bárbara d' Oeste.

For the 2005/06 season he was loaned to Sigma Olomouc, end of January 2006, he moved on loan to Slavia Prague, where he signed a three-year contract in the summer of 2006. In Slavia Gaúcho played initially regularly in the 2007/ 08 season, he is mostly just a substitute.

In February 2008 Gaúcho joined the Slovakian first division club FC Senec.
