Rohrdorf, Baden-Württemberg

Tube village is a municipality in the district of Calw. To Rohrsdorf except the homonymous village There are no other villages.

Geography

Tube is located in the village Heckengäu, on the border of the northern Black Forest, in the valley of the Nagoldtalsperre.

History

Tube village was first mentioned in documents in 1285. It developed around a castle. 1309 gets the whole place into the possession of the Knights, after it had already acquired there possession. Rohrsdorf formed a separate Coming and belonged until 1806 to the Grand Priory of Germany the Order of Malta ( as the Knights of St. John was called after 1524), headquartered in Heiterheim ( im Breisgau ).

Policy

The council was established in the municipal election held on 7 June 2009, seven men and three women, supplemented by the directly elected mayor, who presides over the committee.

On February 1, 2009 Joachim Flik was confirmed unopposed with 98 percent of valid votes cast for a third term.

Tube village belongs to the city and the community Haiterbach Ebhausen to Agreed administrative community of the city Nagold.

Religions

Since 1568 there are in Rohrsdorf a special feature: the Protestant and Roman Catholic church make use of St. John's Church together (simultaneous church). Here, the rear eastern part with the choir of the Catholic, front, western part is used by the Protestant church. This arrangement has been agreed in a contract between the then Commander of the Catholic Johanniter-/Malteserordens with the Protestant majority of the place and is still valid today.

The Protestant pastor is Mark Eissler, the Protestant church belongs to the Church District Nagold. Catholics belong to the pastoral care unit Upper Nagoldtal the Dean Calw. Senior Pastor Holger Winterholer. Furthermore, the New Apostolic Church is represented in the town.

Economy and infrastructure

Rohrsdorf is model community in the context of the development program for Rural Areas in Baden- Württemberg, with which the attractiveness of small rural communities should be increased.

Culture and sights

The old school, built in the early 20th century, is a historical monument. Built around 1430 around Commandery, in which the city hall and the Church of St. John of the two parishes are located, is also worth seeing.
