Geography
Geographical location
Simmozheim is situated in 423-589 meters altitude on the B295 between Weil der Stadt and Althengstett in hedges and Schlehengäu. The community consists of two separate areas.
Community structure
The municipality includes the village Simmozheim Simmozheim and the homestead Büchelbronn.
History
In a wooded area near Simmozheim remains of a Roman brick were discovered.
Simmozheim was first mentioned in 985. As of 1320, the town belonged to the lords of Kröwelsau. 1699 came Waldensian religious refugees in the place they were settled in what is now Neuhengstett.
Religions
With the introduction of the Reformation in Merklingen also Simmozheim 1535 is Protestant. In addition to the protestant church there is a community house of Liebenzeller community. Approx. 500 residents are Catholic. In addition, a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses was built about 1960. The built already in 1497 Simmozheimer Trinity Church is the most prominent landmark of the place. Instead it is situated in the village, slightly increased on the northern edge of the valley floor. Even at night it is the illuminated quadrangular tower brighter lights and shines afar. The pneumatic organ of the company Weigle dates from 1907, the oldest bell dating from 1525.

Education
Simmozheim has three kindergartens, of which a forest kindergarten and a primary school. As secondary schools are in the neighboring Althengstett a secondary school, a Werkrealschule and high school, and in the next cities Weil der Stadt Calw and high schools available.
Tourism
Simmozheim is crossed by Gäurandweg, a long distance hiking trail in the Black Forest Association.
