Roissy-en-Brie
Roissy -en- Brie ( to 1988 Roissy ) is a municipality with 22,436 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- et- Marne in the Île- de -France region of France. The inhabitants are called Roisséens.
Geography
The community is located about 23 kilometers southeast of Paris. Neighboring municipalities are Croissy -Beaubourg in the north, Pontcarré in the east, Ozoir -la -Ferrière in the south, Pontault- Combault the west and Émerainville in the northwest.
Transport links
The municipality has a station of the Paris RER rapid transit network. It is located on the railway line Paris -Mulhouse and is served by the RER E.
History
In 1810, Roissy -en- Brie was connected to the neighboring community Pontcarré. On June 3, 1829 it was a separate municipality again.
Politics and Administration
Mayor is currently Sylvie Fuchs ( mandate: 2008-2014 ).

Roissy -en- Brie is a partner in the communities Barmstedt (Schleswig -Holstein, since 1980) and Colwyn Bay in Wales (since 1986).
