Roland Kluttig

Roland Kluttig ( * 1968 in Radeberg ) is a German conductor.

Life

Kluttig was born in 1968 as son of conductor Christian Kluttig. He studied from 1986 to 1991 piano and conducting with Volker Rohde at the University of Music Carl Maria von Weber Dresden. He attended master classes with Sylvain Cambreling, Peter Eotvos and John Eliot Gardiner.

From 1992 to 1999 he was conductor of the chamber ensemble Neue Musik Berlin. From 2000 to 2004 he worked as a conductor and assistant Lothar Zagrosek at the Stuttgart State Opera. From 2004 to 2006 he was Principal Conductor of the Crested Butte Music Festival in Colorado. He was guest conductor among others the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden -Baden and Freiburg, the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsches Symphonie -Orchester Berlin, the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin and the Dresden Philharmonic, as well as in Seoul, The Hague, Bordeaux, Vienna, Zurich, Amsterdam and Reykjavik. He has worked with directors Jossi Wieler, Christoph Marthaler and Achim Freyer and the composer Chin Un -suk and Helmut Lachenmann.

Since 2010 he has been Music Director at Coburg State Theatre.
