Rolf Dobelli

Rolf Dobelli (originally Döbeli ) ( born July 15, 1966 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss writer and entrepreneur.

Life

Rolf Dobelli studied philosophy and economics at the University of St. Gallen, where he also received his doctorate with a dissertation on the subject of deconstruction of the economic discourse. He then worked in management positions in the economy, such as chief financial officer and managing director of various subsidiaries of Swissair. In 1999 he founded together with friends the company getAbstract, the world's leading publisher of book summaries. 2011 Dobelli resigned from the operational management of getAbstract, to devote himself to writing.
