Roman Bürki

Roman Bürki (born 14 November 1990) is a Swiss football goalkeeper, who at the Super League hopefuls Grasshopper Club Zurich plays since 2011.

Playing career

Roman Bürki began his career in 2007 with the second- team BSC Young Boys. In July 2009, he joined his club. He played for half a year for FC Thun and the subsequent six months for FC Schaffhausen. In summer 2010, he moved back to the Berne Young Boys. In a goalie castling Bürki changed just six months later in exchange for Ivan Benito to the Grasshopper Club Zurich. Initially allowed the bench guard, now he has, however, worked for goalkeeper.

Roman Bürki played five games for the U20 national team of Switzerland.

In summer 2011 Bürki was nominated for the U -21 European Championship in Denmark. However, he had to fit due to injury.
