Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Taiyuan

The Archdiocese of Taiyuan (Taiyuan ) (Latin: Archidioecesis Taeiuenensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China diocese of the Roman Catholic Church.

Under Pope Leo XIII. was divided into the Apostolic Vicariate Südshanxi and northern Shanxi on June 17, 1890, the Apostolic Vicariate of Shanxi. Under Pope Pius XI. 1924 was the renaming of the Apostolic Vicariate Apostolic Vicariate Taiyüanfu northern Shanxi. By Pope Pius XII. was collected on 11 April 1946, the survey by the Vicariate to the archbishopric of Taiyuan.

The archdiocese assigned the suffragan bishopric of Fenyang [ Fenyang ], diocese Hung Tung [ Hongdong ], diocese Lu An [ Changzhi ], diocese Shohchow [ Shuoxian ], diocese Tatung [ Datong ] and diocese Yütze [ Yuci ].
