The Archdiocese of Urbino - Urbania -Sant'Angelo in Vado (Latin: Archidioecesis Urbinatensis - Urbaniensis - Sancti Angeli in Vado, Italian: Arcidiocesi di Urbino - Urbania -Sant'Angelo in Vado ) is a located in Italy Roman Catholic Archdiocese of based in Urbino.

History

The Archdiocese of Urbino - Urbania -Sant'Angelo in Vado was built in the 6th century as the Diocese of Urbino. On July 7, 1563 the Diocese of Urbino was elevated by Pope Pius IV with the Apostolic Constitution Super universas to an archbishopric. The dioceses Cagli, Senigallia, Pesaro, Fossombrone, Montefeltro and Urbino Gubbio were the Archdiocese assumed as suffragan. The seminary of the Archdiocese of Urbino was incorporated on November 21, 1592.

Since May 23, 1977 the Archdiocese of Urbino and Urbania -Sant'Angelo, the diocese were managed in Vado in personal union. On September 30, 1986 the Archdiocese of Urbino was annexed by the Congregation for Bishops with the decree Instantibus votis the diocese Urbania -Sant'Angelo in Vado.
