Roman Catholic Diocese of 's-Hertogenbosch

The Diocese of 's- Hertogenbosch (Latin: Dioecesis Buscoducensis, Dutch:. Bisdom ' s- Hertogenbosch, German: Diocese of 's-Hertogenbosch ), is one of the seven Roman Catholic dioceses of the Dutch church province, located in the city of' s -Hertogenbosch ( Den Bosch ) in Noord- Brabant (North Brabant).

History

The first diocese of 's- Hertogenbosch was built from areas of the diocese of Liege on 12 May 1559. The areas came with the dissolution of the diocese 1645 back to the bishopric of Liege.

Forerunner of today's diocese 's- Hertogenbosch is the Founded in 1657, Apostolic Vicariate of ' s- Hertogenbosch. On 15 July 1801, the Vicariate was part of the Diocese of Antwerp and was dissolved on March 22, 1803 parts of its territory from the foundation of the Apostolic Vicariate of Breda. The areas of the Apostolic Vicariate resolved Grave- Nijmegen and Ravenstein Megen arrived in 1851 the Vicariate. On 4 March 1853 the Vicariate with additional fields from the Archdiocese of Mechelen and the diocese of Liège was raised to the bishopric.
