History

The Diocese of Adria- Rovigo was built in the 7th century as the Diocese of Adria. On September 30, 1986, the Diocese of Adria was renamed by the Congregation for Bishops with the decree Instantibus votis in Diocese of Adria- Rovigo.

The Diocese of Adria- Rovigo is subordinated to the Patriarchate of Venice suffragan.
