Roman Catholic Diocese of Daloa

The diocese Daloa (Latin: Dioecesis Daloaensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Daloa in the Ivory Coast. It includes the regions of skin -Sassandra and Marahoué.

History

Pope Pius XII. founded with the Bull Quo intra Apostolic Vicariate Sassandra on 9 April 1940 from annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Ivory Coast.

With the Apostolic Constitution Dum Tantis it was collected on September 14, 1955 Diocese and the Archdiocese of Abidjan is a suffragan.

Parts of its territory it lost in favor of the establishment of the following dioceses:

  • June 25, 1956 to the bishopric of Gagnoa;
  • June 8, 1968 One of the bishopric;
  • December 19, 1994 to the diocese Odienné.
