Roman Catholic Diocese of Ekiti

The Diocese of Ekiti (Latin: Dioecesis Ekitiensis ) is a location in Nigeria Roman Catholic diocese based in Ado Ekiti.

History

The Diocese of Ekiti was born on July 30, 1972 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Divinum mandatum of cessions of territory of the Diocese of Ondo diocese as Ado Ekiti and the Archdiocese of Lagos is a suffragan. On 11 December 1972, the Diocese of Ado - Ekiti was renamed Diocese of Ekiti. The Diocese of Ekiti was placed under the Archdiocese of Ibadan suffragan on 26 March 1994.
