Roman Catholic Diocese of Floresta

The Diocese of Floresta (Latin: Dioecesis Florestensis ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Floresta, Pernambuco state.

History

The Diocese of Floresta was born on February 15, 1964 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Qui secreto out of territory of the dioceses Pesqueira and Petrópolis and the Archdiocese of Olinda e Recife is a suffragan. On 16 June 2010, the Diocese of Floresta were from parts of its territory to the foundation of the diocese Salgueiro.
