Roman Catholic Diocese of Ilagan

The Diocese of Ilagan (Latin: Dioecesis Ilaganensis ) is a location in the middle of the island of Luzon in the Philippines Roman Catholic diocese based in Ilagan. It includes the province of Isabela.

History

Pope Paul VI. founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Quia urget Christ on January 31, 1970 from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Tuguegarao and Territorialprälatur Infanta and it became the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia assumed as suffragan.

On September 21, 1974, was part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao.
