Roman Catholic Diocese of Kankan

The Diocese of Kankan (Latin: Dioecesis Muilaensis ) is located in Guinea Roman Catholic diocese based in Kankan. It comprises the north-eastern part of Guinea.

History

Pope Pius XII. founded the Apostolic Prefecture Kankan with the Apostolic Constitution Evangelizationis operi on May 12, 1949, cessions of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate of French Guinea.

With the Apostolic Constitution Cum in Apostolica it was collected on 17 November 1993 to the diocese.
