The Diocese of Lucknow (Latin: Dioecesis Lucknovensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Lucknow (Lucknow ).

History

The Diocese of Lucknow was posted on January 12, 1940 by Pope Pius XII. built out of territory of the Archdiocese of Agra and of the Diocese of Allahabad. It was the Archdiocese of Agra is a suffragan. On January 19, 1989, the Diocese of Lucknow were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Bareilly.

The diocese comprises the districts of Lucknow Lucknow, Unnao, Barabanki, Gonda, Bahraich, Sitapur, Hardoi and Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh.
