Roman Catholic Diocese of Macau

The Diocese of Macau ( Latin: Dioecesis Macaonensis, Chinese :天主教 澳门 教区) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Macau.

History

The Diocese of Macao on January 23, 1576 by ​​Pope Gregory XIII. built with the Papal Bull Super specula Militantis Ecclesiae out of territory of the Diocese of Malacca. 1588 gave the bishopric of Macau parts of its territory to the foundation of the diocese Funai and 1659 from the foundation of the Apostolic Vicariate of Nanking.
