Roman Catholic Diocese of Muranga
The Diocese of Muranga (Latin: Dioecesis Murangaensis ) is located in Kenya Diocese of the Roman Catholic church located in Muranga. It includes the districts of Murang'a, Kirinyaga and Maragua and the division of the district Gatanga Thika in the Central Province.
History
Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Quandoquidem aeternam on March 17, 1983, cessions of territory of the diocese of Nyeri and it became the Archdiocese of Nairobi assumed as suffragan.
On 21 May 1990, it was part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Nyeri.
