The Diocese of Mysore (Latin: Dioecesis Mysuriensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Mysore.
History
The Diocese of Mysore in 1850 by Pope Pius IX. out of territory of the Diocese of Madura built as Apostolic Vicariate of Mysore. On September 1, 1886, the Vicariate Apostolic of Mysore was raised to the bishopric. It was the Archdiocese of Bangalore is a suffragan. The Diocese of Mysore was in its history several times parts of its territory from the creation of new dioceses.
