The Diocese of Punalur (Latin: Dioecesis Punalurensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Punalur.

History

The Diocese of Punalur was established on December 21, 1985 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Verba Christ out of territory of the Diocese of Quilon and the Archdiocese Verapoly a suffragan. On 17 June 2004, the Diocese of Punalur was the Archdiocese of Trivandrum is a suffragan.

Territory

The diocese comprises the Punalur district Pathanamthitta and some taluks in the districts Alappuzha and Kollam in Kerala.
