Roman Catholic Diocese of San Vicente

The Diocese of San Vicente (Latin: Sancti Dioecesis vincentii ) is a location in El Salvador Roman Catholic diocese based in Ciudad San Vicente. It includes the Department of San Vicente.

History

The Diocese of San Vicente was born on December 18, 1943 by Pope Pius XII. out of territory of the Archdiocese of San Salvador, where it was a suffragan. On 5 May 1987, lost part of the territory of the diocese Zacatecoluca.
