Roman Catholic Diocese of San Miguel (El Salvador)
The Diocese of San Miguel (Latin: Sancti Michaelis Dioecesis ) is located in El Salvador Roman Catholic diocese based in San Miguel. It comprises the departments of La Unión, Morazán and a large part of the department of San Miguel.
History
Pope Pius X founded it on February 11, 1913 from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of San Salvador, where it was assumed as a suffragan.
A part of its territory it lost on December 2, 1954, the Diocese of Santiago de María.
