Roman Catholic Diocese of Srikakulam

The Diocese of Srikakulam (Latin: Dioecesis Srikakulamensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Srikakulam.

History

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Ad aptius fovendum on 1 July 1993 from cessions of territory of the diocese of Visakhapatnam and it became the Archdiocese of Hyderabad was assumed as suffragan.

On 16 October 2001 it became part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Visakhapatnam. Since the establishment of the local Ordinary Innayya Chinna Addagatla.

Territory

The diocese comprises the Srikakulam located in the state of Andhra Pradesh Srikakulam districts and parts of Vizianagaram.
