Roman Catholic Diocese of Vinh

The Diocese of Vinh (Latin: Dioecesis Vinhensis ) is a location in Vietnam Roman Catholic diocese based in Vinh.

History

Pope Gregory XVI. founded the Apostolic Vicariate Südtonking with the Apostolic Constitution Ex debito on March 27, 1846 annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate Westtonking.

On 3 December 1924, took the name, Vicariate Apostolic of Vinh. With the Apostolic Constitution Venerabilium Nostrorum it was raised on November 24th, 1960 bishopric.
