Roman Skorniakov

Roman Skornjakow (Cyrillic Роман Скорняков, English transcription novel Skornyakov; born February 17, 1976 in Sverdlovsk, Russian Soviet Republic ) is a former Uzbek figure skater, who started in a single run.

The Russian-born Roman Skornjakow decided after the collapse of the Soviet Union to start for Uzbekistan, as well as his training companion and later wife (since 2000) Tatjana Mali Nina. Since 1998 she has lived in the United States. After the death of their coach Igor Ksenofontow Skornjakow and Mali Nina trained each other. Skornjakow coached briefly also the Kazakh pair skater Marina Chalturina after it was changed at the end of their careers for a single run.
