Römer (crater)

Romans is a lunar impact crater on the northeast front on the northern edge of Sinus Amoris, east of Le Monnier and west of Macrobius. The crater wall is terraced and shows traces of extensive landslides. The interior has a central mountain.

To the west of the crater extending the moon groove structure of Rimae Romans in a northwesterly direction.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Danish astronomer Ole Rømer.
