Rómulo Antonio Braschi

Rómulo Antonio Braschi ( born December 25, 1941 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine bishop of the Free Catholic Church.

Life

Braschi studied Catholic theology and was ordained a priest in August 1966. He belonged to the movement of the worker priests in South America and was a member of the organization Movimiento para el Tercer Mundo de Sacerdotes ( MSTM ). Disappointed with the behavior of the church during the period of the dictatorship in Argentina, he distanced himself from the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church.

In 1975 he founded in Buenos Aires, an independent church by the Holy See, and thus incurred the latae sententiae excommunication to. This resulted in the Free Catholic Church, headquartered in Munich. To the bishop of this church, he was ordained by Hilarios Ungerer.

2002 inaugurated Braschi in the Roman Catholic canon law according invalid nude on a boat on the Danube nine women as priests.
